Is Draxler a quicker learner than Zlatan?

Julian Draxler may have only signed for Paris Saint-Germain in January but he has already impressed on the field – and he is increasingly shining off it, too.

Ronaldinho lands Barcelona role

The €38 million signing from Wolfsburg has scored four times in only five appearances for Unai Emery's side and has rapidly established himself ahead of Angel Di Maria in the Parc des Princes pecking order.

Of course, the 23-year-old does not boast the same reputation as Zlatan Ibrahimovic, who departed for Manchester United in the summer, but there is one aspect in which the midfielder already far exceeds the Swede: his ability to speak French.

Nevertheless, Draxler was modest about his abilities in the tongue when interview by Canal+.

Asked if he already knows more French in four weeks at Paris than Zlatan did in four years, the German replied: "I don't know. You can ask the other players.

"I learned at school. I understand a lot but it's not possible for me to speak."

Must Leicester sack Ranieri to survive?

Ibrahimovic, meanwhile, rarely attempted to speak French when at PSG, save one infamous night when he had team-mates Salvatore Sirigu and Marco Verratti in stiches as he made an acceptance speech following his nomination as Ligue 1 Player of the Year for 2014.

Thankfully for Manchester United, Ibrahimovic's English is far better than his French!
