Golbe reveals inspiration for Plateau United's away form

Ahead of their tie at the Umuahia Towship Stadium against Abia Warriors, Elisha Golbe reveals Plateau United's inspiration to their impressive away form in the Nigerian topflight.

Since the restart of the league, the Kenedy Boboye-led side have managed to pick four points from three games played at oppositions' ground.

And, so far, 11 points garnered from a possible 36 have consolidated their lead at the top of the Nigeria Professional Football League log as they stay atop with a five-point margin.

The defender gives an insight into what has made them become the most feared visiting side in the division, and how important it is for their aspiration to emerge champion.

"It's all about teamwork, togetherness, discipline and training," Golbe told Goal.

"We have been training well and with the support of the management and other staffs of the team, I think that's what is giving us the inspiration to be able to at least play well and stay where we are now.

"I think getting points away is very important, first, for you to remain at the top of the table and win the league and for you to become a champion you must have to, at least, get some points away from home."

Against Abdullahi Biffo's men, continuing getting the points is what the Rwang Pam Stadium outfit is concerned about, according to Golbe.

"I think that’s what we are trying to do to get to wherever we fix our focus at.  And we are looking to continue to get the points against Abia Warriors to add it to our point account."
