EXTRA TIME: Konyaspor give legendary Eto’o Game of Thrones welcome

Not something you would expect but Konyaspor have welcomed Samuel Eto’o to the Konya Buyuksehir Stadium in the most unusual way.

The former Cameroon international is definitely not hanging his boots anytime soon and has been given the titles of fictional character Daenerys Targaryen, the second member of the Targaryen dynasty in the epic series, Game of Thrones.

With his arrival from league rivals Antalyaspor, the four-time African Player of the Year has been named - Samuel Stormborn of the House Eto'o, the First of His Name, the Unburnt, King of the Forwards, Breaker of Chains, Father of Eagles.

We think the African legend deserves more than just sitting upon the Iron Throne which the first men sits...
