Katsina United seal promotion to NPFLWale Mustapha

ex-Katsina United’s Eleje 'not in haste' to move

Former Katsina United midfielder Obinna Eleje says he is not in any rush to pick a club despite several showing interest in his services.

Eleje was one of the outstanding players for the Chanji Boys last season as he ensured they retained their Nigeria Professional Football League status.

And having left the Katsina side on a sour note, the midfielder is very careful in choosing his next destination ahead of the 2017-18 campaign.

“I am not returning back to Katsina United. I have tried for them. The club made a lot of promises to me but they didn’t fulfill them," Eleje told Goal.

"I want to move on but I am not in haste about it. I will bid my time and try to consider all the options before me before agreeing on any move.

“If I tell you that no club has come for me I will be lying. So many of them have come but I am yet to seek clarifications on them. I will consider so many things before agreeing on a move.

“I am happy that we did everything possible to ensure that Katsina United did not return to the lower league. I want to ensure that I get all the information I need on the clubs that have asked for my services before deciding on which on to pick,” he concluded.
