Coach Ogunbote rues Enugu Rangers' wastefulness after Akwa United draw

Enugu Rangers head coach, Gbenga Ogunbote has lamented his team's wastefulness in front of goal which culminated in their goalless draw to Akwa United on Sunday in Enugu.

The Flying Antelopes have only picked six points out of possible 12 from their last four home matches and Ogunbote in his post-match comments rued their inability to deliver the maximum points but assured that they will correct their errors in subsequent games.  

"This was another avoidable draw,” Ogunbote told the media.

“We could have finished the job in the first half but we could not take the chances we created. I understand the feelings of the fans and our dear supporters.

“We hope to make positive amends in our next games.”

Rangers remained in the sixth position in the league table with 30 points from 20 games as result of the home draw as they face Lobi Stars this weekend in Makurdi in a repeat of their second game of the season which they lost 2-1 in Enugu.
