He scored the first goal for Fenerbahce and led the lines well in a good 4-0 home victory. After an uneventful start to his Fenerbahce career, he has started justifying the huge fee that was paid to procure his services from Dinamo Moscow.

The Nigerian has been in good scoring knick and will hope to carry the scoring form into 2014 and to the World Cup in June. He has now scored six league goals in 14 appearances though he has not played as many minutes as he would have liked.

Congratulations to Emmanuel Emenike Goal.com's Nigeria Player of the Week winner!

The Shortlist

Femi Balogun - Olhanense

The relatively unknown 20-year-old midfielder scored his first goal in Portuguese football though his club; Olhanense lost 3-2 at home to mighty Benfica.

He has played 12 times in the league and has a yellow card to his name.

Taye Taiwo  - Bursaspor

The left back played a commanding role in helping Bursaspor secure a 2-2 draw away to Trabzonspor. His free kick in the 27th minute forced Paulo Henrique to concede an own goal.

It was his 15th consecutive league match and he has played every minute with two goals.

Kelechi Iheanaco

The Most Valuable Player from the last Fifa U-17 World Cup has gotten the green light to sign for Manchester City in the Premiership.

A good step up to show what he is worth against some of the best players in the world. His talent should shine through in the next few years.
