Arsenal - Borussia Dortmund Betting Preview: Tough game for Germans at the Emirates

The English Premier League leaders will be looking forward to consolidate on their lead at the top of Group F in the Champions League

Last season’s finalist, Borussia Dortmund take a long trip to north London to face Arsenal in Tuesday’s  Uefa Champions League fixture to be played at the Emirates Stadium as their manager serves the second of his two-match touchline ban.

This will be the second time these two sides have been paired together in three seasons. Arsene Wenger’s side will be hoping to continue in the impressive run in the competition having notched up two wins from two matches.

Ladbrokes is backing Arsenal to win this fixture at amazing odds of 5/4 (2.25) while their visitors are underdogs going into this tie. They are available at 2/1 (3.00) to put the Gunners to the sword. The draw is a 5/2 (3.50) chance with the same firm.

The London side comes into this game with a thumping victory over Norwich at the weekend. While Dortmund who are  in great form, come into match day three with a home win against Hannover 96 as a fourth minute penalty from Marco Reus sealed the deal for Klopp’s team.

You can back Arsenal at to win both halves at 19/4 (5.75) following their breathe taking performance in recent times.  Dortmund on their own part has lost their last two Uefa Champions League away matches and are without a win in their last four. Going by this, expect them to be leading at half time and not win 13/2 (7.50).

Mathieu Flamini is a major doubt to face the Germans after he suffered a concussion against Norwich. Meanwhile Theo Walcot has been ruled out for another fortnight as he had a setback on his recovery from abdominal surgery.

For punters seeking for more values for their money, they should back total goals over 1.5 at 1/5 (1.20), a bet which stands out in this game.
