The Blaugrana will be hoping to extend their unbeaten run when they confront Almeria at the Estadio de los Juegos Mediterráneos on Saturday night
Barcelona travel to confront a very entertaining Almeria side in Saturday’s night La Liga fixture with the ambition of continuing their 100 per cent record in Spanish League.
On Tuesday, the Catalans brushed aside Real Sociedad aside at Camp Nou, with Neymar, Lionel Messi, Sergio Busquets and Marc Bartra all scoring in a comprehensive 4-1 win.
Barcelona are 1/6 (1.16) favorites according to Ladbrokes to win this encounter banking on their current form while the hosts are offered at just 12/1 (13.00).
The draw is a 13/2 (7.50) with the same firm.
Baring in mind that their last four meetings have seen Barcelona rack up an aggregate scoreline of 19-1, including an 8-0 away victory in 2010, you can count on Gerardo Martino's men to win both halves at odds of 20/21 (1.95).
Almeria’s start to the campaign is in sharp contrast to the Catalans as they have failed to pick up a win - earning just three points from their six games and they look unlikely to improve on that record. These stats could have informed Ladbrokes choice of Almeria to score the last goal at 31/10 (4.10).
For the goal scorers, Lionel Messi is available at 9/5 (2.80) and 1/5 (1.20) to score at any time. The Argentine has been in terrific form this season netting 10 times in all competitions.
Should the hosts eventually get a goal, it will definitely come off the boots of Rodrigo Rios Lozano who is at long odds of 14/1 (15.00).
Bearing this in mind then, backing Barca to score over 1.5 goals in the first half at 1/16 (1.06) looks like a superb bet, at an attractive price.
This bet has paid out in three of the Blaugrana's matches so far, but Almeria's wobbly defence will surely struggle to cope with the visitors.
