The Spanish international midfielder is favourite to remain with the Blaugrana in spite of speculations linking him with a move outside Spain
In the wake of several speculations linking Cesc Fabregas for a move outside Barcelona, bookmaker Ladbrokes has tipped the former Arsenal midfielder to continue his spell in his homeland.
Having let go of David Villa to Athletico Madrid and Thiago Alcantara to Bayern Munich few days back, it could spell doom for the Spanish outfit to let another key member of the team depart Camp Nou. Putting this in mind, Fabregas is favourite to remain in Barcelona at least for a season or thereabouts at amazing odds of 2/7 (1.28).
Manchester United are reported to have made a bid to secure the services of the World Cup winning player, and interestingly, the Old Trafford team lead the way to tempt the 26-year old star back to England.
Ladbrokes price United at 5/4 (2.25) to convince Fabregas to commit his future with the Red Devils. Backing this may however sound unwise for punters based on the fact that Arsenal are understood to have first refusal on him should he leave the Catalans.
Even at this, the Gunners have not hidden their passion for the lad they groomed to maturity. He is a 7/2 (4.5) shot with the same bookies to return to Arsenal, a club he left two years ago – a move many believed to be as a result of the Gunners’ inability to win trophies.
The Copa del Rey and Liga winners may however be tempted for a move to Chelsea, Manchester City or Monaco. Realistic as this move may appear, it might not see the light of the day as the three clubs are at long odds of 33/1 (34.00)
