thumbnail Hello,

The Naze Millinaires' coach has endorsed the Eagles for a third AFCON crown

Heartland's chief coach, Ndubuisi Nduka believes no country can stand in the way of the Super Eagles and Africa Cup of Nations title on Sunday in Johannesburg, South Africa after the team pummelled Mali 4-1 in the semi-finals.

Nigeria had a slow start to the competition with mustering only 5 points from possible 9 in the group phase ahead of their clash with Cup favourites, The Elephants of Cote D'Ivoire.

The Eagles turned the table against the dreaded Ivorians in the last eight in Rustenburg last Sunday and having added Mali to the list of their 'victims'.

Coach Nduka has told Goal.com that the Eagles would only have themselves to blame if they fail to beat Burkina Faso their final opponent the way they did to Ivory Coast and Mali.

"The team has improved with every match played since the struggle at the earlier part of the competition. They are in the final now and I don't see anything stopping them having gone this far.

"The Eagles will beat Burkina Faso in the final on Sunday. We know how to deal with them.
"We will no doubt be the favourites and we should be able to take our chances against the Stallions."

Nigeria will clash with Burkina Faso on Sunday at the First National Bank(FNB) Stadium in Johannesburg with the sole aim of adding to their two previous conquests in 1980(on home soil) and 1994 in Tunisia.
