Cote D’Ivoire forward Salomon Kalou has said that he looks forward to a tough encounter against Nigeria when both countries play in Sunday’s quarter final game of the Africa Cup of Nations.
The Ivorians drew 2-2 with Algeria in their last game of Group D on Wednesday and stayed top with seven points. They will now play against the Super Eagles on Sunday
Kalou, who scored against the Eagles in a 1-0 defeat at Ghana 2008 said he looks forward to a competitive reunion against former Chelsea team mate John Obi Mikel.
“It would be a great game, I’m looking forward to it,” Kalou said. “If I have the opportunity to score again that would be wonderful.
“It’s going to be wonderful to see Obi again, it’s been a long time. He sent me a text message saying they’re going to win.
“The pressure is on Nigeria and if he thinks he’s going to win the game, that’s good for him,” said the Lille forward.
