thumbnail Hello,

The Villareal striker will make his first start against the Walyas Antelopes while the Celtic defender returns to right back after serving his suspension

Ikechukwu Uche will make his first start for Nigeria against Ethiopia in Tuesday’s Africa Cup of Nations Group C game in Rustenburg.

Uche, the leading scorer for the side during qualifying, has been on the bench since the tournament commenced, coming on late in both of the team’s matches so far.

He will replace Ahmed Musa in the attack where Stephen Keshi has opted to continue with his 4-3-3 formation. Uche will join two goals hero Emmanuel Emenike and Victor Moses who impressed during their last encounter against Zambia in Nelspruit.

Also returning to the starting line up is defender Efe Ambrose who was sent off in the game against Burkina Faso. He takes over the right back position from Ogenyi Onazi.

A new addition to the starting line up is Enugu Rangers’ Sunday Mba who will be only the second home-based player to appear during the tournament. Keshi has dropped Nosa Igiebor to the bench for Mba.

John Obi Mikel and Fegor Ogude continue their role in midfield while Kenneth Omeruo, Godfrey Oboabona and Elderson Echiejile remain in defence.

Captain Joseph Yobo remains on the bench following the knock he received on his ankle in the team’s opening game.
