Former International has cautioned players of Super Eagles not to see the next game as an easy oneFormer international Charles Bassey has told players and officials of Super Eagles in clear terms not to underrate the Walya Antelopes when they meet on Tuesday in the last game of Group C in the 2013 Africa Cup of Nations.
Nigeria with two points need an outright win so also Ethiopia with only one point.
Bassey who is presently the Technical Director of Nigeria Premier League side Akwa United told Goal.com that the next game should be played as if it is the final game.
"It should never cross the mind of the players on that day to think that they can easily run over the Ethiopia. They also need a win depending on what happens in the game between Burkina Faso and Zambia.
"Our boys must be serious and should give their best in that game. They must not look down the Ethiopians. They should approach the game with the intention to win with as many goals as possible just like the Burkinabe team did to them.
"We need a good win and if we must get that good win, they should be ready to convert their chances and not concede late goals.
"I am confident the boys will beat Ethiopia because they know what is at stake. The Super Eagles will surely play in the next round of the tournament," Bassey boasted.
All the teams in the group can still qualify for the quarter finals.
