Some players have had to stay behind after normal training sessions to iron out glitches in their performances
On Friday after the regular training session, Nosa Igiebor, Elderson Echejile, Obiorah Nwankwo and Kenneth Omeruo remained behind to practice set pieces and work or accurate crosses and shots on their own.
This is ahead of Saturday’s friendly encounter against Dutch team, Sparta Rotterdam, which is expected to kick off at noon (1pm Nigerian time) the Browns Sports and Leisure Club camp site.
Sylvanus Okpala , Super Eagles Assistant Coach joined them later, (MON), was to later join them in the session and was clearly appreciative of the extra effort been put in by the players.
“Bros, we just want to get better for the Nations Cup, nothing special,” Igiebor said after the session that lasted over 20 minutes.
The Super Eagles will conclude their preparation for the Nations Cup next Tuesday, January 15 with another friendly encounter against Portuguese second division side, Farense.
The team is then scheduled to leave for South Africa on January 16, 2013.
