Stephen Keshi announces 23 home-based players & Fengor Ogude for camp

The Super Eagles will begin training on December 16 before finally leaving for Portugal to be joined by the Europe-based players in Faro
Nigeria coach Stephen Keshi announced a squad of 24 players that will begin camping in Abuja on December 16 ahead of the team's trip to Portugal later in the month.

Twenty three of the players are called up from the local league while Valerenga's Fegor Ogude is the only Europe-based player in the early camp. Other Europe-based players will be announced in the week before Christmas and will be expected to report at the Faro, Portugal camp by December 27.

The local players are expected to report to the Bolton White Apartment camp of the Eagles by December 16.

Nigeria are preparing for the 2013 Africa Cup of Nations where they have been drawn in Group C alongside defending champions Zambia, Ethiopia and Burkina Faso.
