The Atlanta ‘96 Olympics gold medallist and former Super Eagles goalkeeper has tipped the Super Eagles to shine at the South Africa 2013 Africa Cup of Nations.
In a chat with Goal.com shortly after a captivating draw ceremony in Durban that pitched Nigeria in Group C alongside Zambia, Burkina Faso and Ethiopia, former Reggiana of Italy goalkeeper Joseph Dosu has said that the Super Eagles will qualify from group C only if they refuse to underrate the other three teams.
"With Zambia as defending champion and Burkina Faso and Ethiopia that we have played at one point in time or the other, it is going to be a very tight group considering the fact that our opponents knocked out other teams to qualify for this competition. We need to take every game seriously and pick all the available points," Dosu said.
When asked about the chances of the Super Eagles to have a very wonderful outing in Nelson Mandela's country, he opined that "Every country that is in this Nations Cup stands a good chance to win the trophy, all we need to do is prepare very well towards the championship in South Africa.
"I still believe we can go far if we are determined, disciplined and well prepared," he submitted.
Nigeria will tackle Zambia in the opening fixtures of Group C in Mbombela alongside Ethiopia and Burkina Faso.
