Media rights company MP & Silva has been appointed as the media advisor to Belgian soccer’s top division, the Jupiler Pro League.
The six-year agreement, which will run from the beginning of the 2014-15 season, will see the agency work alongside the league on the development and execution of a range of commercial strategies relating to the sale of media rights.
The agency will also, under the league’s supervision, manage the production and technical services that will be provided by prospective rights licensees.
The agreement encompasses the worldwide rights to all Jupiler Pro League fixtures across any platform.
Peter Hutton, the joint chief executive of MP & Silva, said: “We have been very impressed with the professionalism of the league and the clubs through this commercial process, and now look forward to working with them to build a strong future.”
Michel Dupont, the league’s president, added: “I am delighted with this new partnership as it is completely in line with our long-term strategy. We will grow as an organisation but also the competition will benefit from it, the Jupiler Pro League will be broadening its international reach. This partnership will therefore boost our strategies.”
MP & Silva counts the Barclays Premier League, Bundesliga, Italian Serie A, French Ligue 1 and La Liga amongst its extensive list of soccer partners.
