French Ligue 1 team Saint-Etienne has agreed a two-year sponsorship deal with pet food and accessories chain Rapid Croq.
The agreement, which will allow Rapid Croq’s logo to adorn the team’s shorts, was brokered on behalf of Saint-Etienne by the Sportfive agency. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed. Winamax Poker is the team’s main shirt sponsor.
“This partnership with Saint-Etienne is the best tool to carry our brand, which represents ambition, dynamism, team spirit, effort and success,” Rapid Croq chief executive Eddy Cathaud said. The club’s reputation will allow us to develop our brand on a national level.”
Roland Romeyer, the chief executive of the club, added: “Rapid Croq is a growing company and we are proud to support its development. Rapid Croq is also a regional company, and nearly 90% of our partners are companies that are based in the Rhone-Alpes region. This shows that Saint-Etienne plays an important role in the local economy.”
