New signing Durand Thuram says he joined Sunshine Stars to help 'achieve greatness'.
Alongside Dayo Ojo and other six players, the Benin international arrived the Akure outfit during the mid-season transfer window.
"I am not at Sunshine Stars to look around or to just sit all day," Durand told Goal.
"I joined Sunshine Stars to help them achieve greatness. They are a club with a big dream and I know that no dream is too big to achieve.
"With the little I've seen, I think Nigerian league will be very competitive, there are good players everywhere and that's impressive."
Durand was full of praise for his new coach, Austine Eguavoen who recently joined Sunshine Stars.
"My respect for the coach, Austine Eguavoen knows no bound. He is a big coach, I've seen and followed him as a coach but having a first-hand feel makes me respect him the more," he said.
"His coaching style impacts every player and that has helped the team. He identifies each player's strong and weak points, does personal workouts with each player and tries to help correct or improve each player.
"The coach is vast and that is a big plus for all the players and the team," he concluded.
