Musa Najere's brace was enough for the Sani Abacha Stadium outfit as they ran out 2-0 victors over Manu Garba's men.
And Gyang was pleased to see his side, again, put 'their bodies on the line' to defeat their rivals.
"I think it was a very good spectacle, we went about our business well and it's great to beat a team of Gombe United's stature," Gyang told Goal.
"A lot of their players are talented. It was a very good match for everyone and we're very delighted with the three points.
"The boys put their bodies on the line every week, they always block tackles and put their heads in. There's cuts and bruises in there but that's what you need to do to try and get success."
The Masu Gida have now moved up to fourth spot in the Nigeria Professional Football League standings, two points behind leaders Plateau United.
