Katsina United midfielder, Kingsley Obinna Eleje has stated that he has come back refreshed and will be ready to face the tasks ahead after he rested his hamstring injury and has resumed training with the weekend’s league tie against Wikki Tourists in view.
Eleje moved to Katsina at the beginning of the season after stints with Enyimba and Sunshine Stars and the midfielder has expressed his delight at his return to training but refused to confirm if he will be fit for the weekend tie with the Giant Elephant in Bauchi.
“I am happy to resume training but I can’t categorically stage whether I will be fit for the weekend game. I will continue to train harder first and the technical crew based on the advice of the team doctors will determine if I am strong enough to play or not. I am happy to be back to help my team,” Eleje disclosed to Goal.
Eleje’s experience has been key to Katsina United side that parade mostly young players and this has helped the club to steer clear of relegation zone in their return season to the topflight after close to 20 years of absence.
