The Nigeria league organiser have insisted that the date for the rescheduled Glo Premier League games remain unchanged
The LMC warned that any team that fails to honour their match will lose the three points and three goals as well as other additional sanctions provided in the rules.
Salihu Abubakar the Chief Operating Officer (COO) of the LMC in a letter to Dolphins FC and Rangers International, conveyed the decision of the board to refund costs incurred by both clubs in the course of their trip to Kano for the match day 19 games that could not hold due to the Emir of Kano's death.
He also warned Dolphins to desist from any act that will undermine the league including issuing public statements on matters already receiving attention.
“All the excuses offered for a possible postponement of the match now scheduled for Saturday, June 14 are not supported by known facts both in the Nigeria Professional Football League rules and Fifa regulations alluded to in your letter," the statement read.
“You may wish to read article 13.8 on the rules and framework for the 2013/14 league season again to acquaint yourself with the provision that empowers the LMC to change the date of league fixtures at any time.
“We seize this opportunity to caution officials of your club who resort to making public statements on communications between the clubs and the LMC especially when such matters are receiving attention from both sides.
“Further issuance of such public statements will lead to serious sanctions on the club and the officer”, the League COO warned.
