Enyimba International FC striker, Ifeanyi Edeh has predicted an impressive season ahead for him after his goal aided The Peoples Elephant's Super Cup triumph over Kano Pillars last Thursday in Warri.
The Aba Millionaires are steadily making their way to the successes associated with them in the past when the club was synonymous with victory.
After a dull two years occasioned by the inability of the club to win any silverware, Enyimba broke the jinx last season when the club won the 2013 Federation Cup and were very close to adding the league shield if not for their breakdown towards the end of the season.
The club entered Warri last Thursday full of optimism that they would win the curtain raiser tie of the 2013/2014 season and with another trophy guaranteed. The Felix Anyansi tutored lads made victory sure when two goals from Edeh and Sibi Gwar handed the title to the Aba Millionaires.
Edeh, who was among the best players of the club last season told Goal that his strike during the Charity Cup contest was only a tip of the iceberg in his quest to work towards having a better season than the last.
The former Enugu Rangers' forward scored 10 league goals and also accounted for some crucial goals in Enyimba's march to the Federation Cup title.
He explained to Goal: "I am happy that I had a good season the last time out but I would like to have a better season this term. I have started that on a brighter note by scoring and assisting with the other goal against Kano Pillars.
"We worked for it and I am thanking God that we have been adequately rewarded. This is just a little from what to expect from me, this coming season."
The Charity Cup secured by the former CAF Champions League winners at the Warri City Stadium last week over Pillars was a sweet revenge over Sai Masu having lost the league title to the same side towards the end of the season last term. Enyimba were then looking for their record setting eighth league title. They share seven league wins with Enugu Rangers currently.
