Kano Pillars' General Manager, Alhaji Abba Galadima has told Goal that Mohammed Baba Ganaru is still the club's head coach as he is yet to receive any letter to the contrary from their embattled gaffer.
Ganaru told Goal he had resigned his appointment as the Kano side's coach after what he termed lack of respect towards him from some officials of the Pillars Management Board. He said he already submitted a written resignation letter to that effect to the General Manager Alhaji Galadima.
But the Pillars' General Manager in a chat with Goal Saturday evening revealed that Baba Ganaru still remains the club's substantive coach as he was yet to receive any resignation letter from their out of favour's coach or his representatives stating otherwise.
Galadima however admitted that Baba Ganaru had orally communicated his decision on telephone but that he was yet to make it formal.
"Baba Ganaru is still our coach as there has been nothing to the contrary. I have not received any letter from him or his representatives on his purported resignation.
"On the allegation he raised, I am not aware of his claims because all the members of the Management Board have been showing love and affection to him. He is still our coach," Alhaji Galadima told Goal.
