Board of the Nigeria Professional Football League side have been sent packing by the Delta State Sports Commission in collaboration with the state's football association
The management of Warri Wolves has been fired by the Delta State Sports Commission in conjunction with the Delta State Football Association.
Reason for this action was as a result of the club’s unimpressive performance in the just concluded Nigeria Professional Football League for the 2012/13 season.
In a bid to reposition the football outfit towards a better outing in the upcoming season, the Delta State Football Association has appointed several individuals to replace the sacked members of the former board.
Godwin Abigor will occupy the position of the club while former Nigeria Premier League board chairman, Davidson Owumi will serve as managing director and chief executive officer. Emmanuel Ibru, Kenneth Nwaomucha, Ogheneochuko Ambakederemo and Lawrence Omohwo are the other members of the board.
Warri Wolves finished runners-up in the 2013 edition of the Nigeria Federation Cup and ended in sixth place on the league after amassing a total number of 55 points from 38 games.
