The LMC has moved the next ties to a later date to clarify all the issues that have arisen from the Appeals Committee of the Nigeria Football Federation that sat on Thursday
The League Management Company (LMC) has revealed that Matchday 36 ties of the Nigeria Professional Football League will now take place on October 12 as against the initial weekend date.
NPFL acting head of media Kasali Obanoyen told Goal that the new date became necessary to ensure that all outstanding league games are considered before the last three set of matches.
He said the LMC would fix a fresh date for some rescheduled league matches that might likely arise after the Nigeria Football Federation’s (NFF) Appeals Committee finished deliberation. The committee met yesterday in Abuja to sit on the three disputed games of Kano Pillars/Enyimba and Kwara United/Warri Wolves.
Meanwhile, Kano Pillars hit Kwara United 2-0 to move to third on the log after Promise James' 71st minute effort added to the initial strike from Uche John of Kwara United who scored an own goal in the 6th minute.
Pillars improved to 57 points from 35 matches.
The game was completed on Thursday morning after heavy downpour stopped the tie on Wednesday in the 32nd minute.
