Bayelsa United coach Ladan Bosso has praised the efforts of his players after they defeated Enyimba 1-0 in one of the key games of week 33 of the Nigeria Professional Football League.
The win has taken Bayelsa United to the top of the table with 55 points.
Bosso revealed that the boys showed great character all through the game to earn the victory.
"I want to thank my players for the way they played. There was never a moment they felt they could not take on Enyimba in the game," said Bosso.
"They were composed all through and I must confess that if they continue with how they approached the game against Enyimba, they will surely win a trophy at the end of the season.
"We may not have the big names in our team. We may not have the quality of players that will put fear into other teams. But we play as a unit in all matches.
"We have proven that if you have players that are ready to work hard, there is nothing that cannot be achieved.
"The boys will continue to work hard and pray for the best at the end of the season," Bosso said.
Bayelsa United will play away to Nembe City in a week 34 game on Wednesday.
