The Nigerian finally got on the score sheet after he came on as a substitute against Manchester City on Wednesday
Super Eagles striker, Victor Anichebe came off the bench on Wednesday to score a goal for West Brom in their 3-2 defeat to Manchester City.
Anichebe, a deadline transfer to the Baggies from Everton came on for Shane Long in the 65th minute and scored the second Albion goal in the 94th minute.
Anichebe in his time on the pitch won all his aerial duels and was a menace to both City centre backs -Michael Demichelis and Vincent Kompany. He also had 88% pass accuracy with one shot.
In other Premier League matches, Mikel Obi came on for Chelsea in the last seven minutes of their encounter away to Sunderland at the Stadium of Light. Chelsea won 4-3 to maintain their second place on the table, four points behind Arsenal, who beat Hull City, for whom Sone Aluko is still out with injury.In Liverpool’s 5-1 win over Norwich, Victor Moses was an unused substitute.
