thumbnail Hello,

The 21-year old defender has played for the U-21 team of Hungary but is yet to commit his international career

With the Super Eagles a little light in the area of defenders, the coach of the national team, Stephen Keshi could do well to check out Heerenven's Kenny Otigba.

The Nigerian-born Heerenven defender revealed he turned down the chance to join Liverpool in 2012 because his agent told him that the Dutch football school is better than the English.

"My mom told me to go to Liverpool but my agent was more realistic. He said the Dutch school is better than the English," Otigba told Voetbal International.

But the Kaduna-born player added that English football would always be part of his dream.

The young Nigerian who started his European football journey at  Gyulai Termál FC in Hungary in 2000 has already played for the Hungary U-21 team but refused a recent call-up to play again for the U-21s.

Otigba said he wanted to concentrate on his club football where he plays under Coach Marco van Basten and he has made 11 appearances this season with two goals.
