Babatunde Michael sidelined for rest of the year with shoulder injury

The Super Eagles fringe player damaged his shoulder in a league match against Shakhtar Donetsk last Friday

Super Eagles fringe player, Babatunde Michael will be missing for Volyn for at least the rest of 2013 on account of a shoulder injury.

He sustained the injury against Shakhtar Donetsk in a 2-0 win last Friday. Babatunde played for 38 minutes before been withdrawn due to the shoulder injury.

The diminutive winger has scored twice in the league and his absence will give some headache to his manager, Vitaliy Kvartsyanyi who brought him to the club to help stay in the elite league.

The Ukrainian league is expected to go on its customary winter break from November 30 till March 1, 2014 so if the recuperation process goes normally, it is expected that Michael will be back in action at the resumption of the second half of the season.

Michael was part of the Super Eagles team that represented the country at the last Fifa Confederations Cup in Brazil in June.
