The Nigerian forward got back to scoring ways for his club on Sunday when he got the lone winning goal
Brown Ideye scored his first league goal against FC Karpaty Lviv on Sunday and said he was happy to have scored two minutes after coming onto the pitch.
Ideye has had to endure a barren spell in front of goal but he scored twice for Nigeria against Burkina Faso in a friendly match two weeks ago and those goals seem to have restored his confidence.
“It’s important that Dynamo managed to win. We’ve demonstrated good play. I’m happy as I scored,” Ideye told his club’s official site.
He added that coach Oleg Blokhin, was a satisfied man along with the rest of the team.
Also he believes that the league title is still well within their grasp though they sit in sixth position, nine points from Metalist, who head the table.
“Things happen in football, but to do that we must win every game.”
He has also lost his starting shirt to DR Congo striker, Dieumerci Mbokani though he said he wants to play every minute of every game but the coach has to decide who will or will not start.
“I want to take the field in every match. I always do my best.
“As for my teammate Mbokani, he needs some more time for adaptation. I help him. We all must support Dieumerci,” he concluded.
Ideye has scored twice in the Europa League and once in six league appearances though he has played just 115 minutes collectively. He scored 17 league goals last season in 28 appearances.
