Samuel Kalu signs three and a half year deal with Gent

The Buffalos made the 19-year-old the fifth Nigerian player in their squad after securing him on a contract that runs until 2020

Gent have completed the signing of Samuel Kalu in a three and a half year deal from Slovakian outfit, AS Trencin.

Kalu, 19, joins Nigeria internationals Simon Moses and Rabiu Ibrahim - both of whom also made their switch to the Belgian topflight club from the same Fortuna Liga side.

With defender William Troost-Ekong and Anderson Esiti completing a quintet of Nigerians in Hein Vanhaezebrouck’s squad.

Kalu, described by his new club as a 'right winger who has great technical ability’ scored seven goals in 44 appearances across all competitions in his one and a half year association with the Slovakian champions.
