Orlando Pirates' Chansa moves to China

The Zambia international leaves the South African top flight competition in a love that will see him join Henan Jianye
Orlando Pirates have confirmed that Isaac Chansa has been sold to Henan Jianye FC in China.

Rumours had linked Chansa to Kaizer Chiefs, whose coach Stuart Baxter has a good relationship with the player, but Pirates and Henan Jianye agreed terms on his transfer on Wednesday.

"Although the club would have liked to keep the Africa Cup of Nations winner at the team for the new season, the player had already expressed his intentions to move overseas for a fresh challenge and hence the club ceded to the players request," a report on the club's official website reads.

"On behalf of the Orlando Pirates family we would like to wish Isaac Chansa all the best at his new club."
