Orlando Pirates to release Talatou and Mjempu

The Buccaneers have decided that they no longer require the services of the two players ahead of the 2012-13 season
Orlando Pirates will release midfielder Boubacar Talatou, while Lizo Mjempu is set to join another Premier Soccer League (PSL) side.

Talatou joined The Buccaneers at the start of the 2011-12 season after turning down an offer from Bloemfontein Celtic, who initially made the proposal for him to come to South Africa.

The Niger international failed to play a full 90 minutes for Pirates and his agent, Dennis Idrissa, will meet Irvin Khoza this week to arrange a settlement for the remaining two years on the player’s contract.

Meanwhile, Mjempu is set to join Bidvest Wits, who are on the lookout for a new leftback following Patrick Phungwayo’s imminent departure to Orlando Pirates.
