thumbnail Hello,

The Manchester City striker latched onto a loose ball in Spain's 2-0 win over Ecuador in South America to score a classy goal for Vicente del Bosque's team

Manchester City striker Alvaro Negredo continued his impressive pre-season form by scoring a delightful flick for Spain against Ecuador on Wednesday.

The 27-year-old pounced on a loose ball inside the box after fine play in the build-up from Santi Cazorla and turned the ball into the roof of the net with his in-step.

It was a good evening for Premier League Spaniards as Cazorla added to Negredo's opener in the second half, confirming a routine win for the world and European champions.

The game was also halted in the 11th minute to pay tribute to Chucho Benitez, who, at the age of 27, died of heart failure last month.
