Thierry Henry proves he still has 'va va voom' with a sublime volley for the New York Red Bulls

The ex-Arsenal and Barcelona star stunned the crowd with a magical half-volley to end his two-month MLS goal drought and claim all three points in a 1-0 win over the Chicago Fire
Theirry Henry rolled back the years to end his MLS goal drought in stunning fashion with a sublime volley for the New York Red Bulls which sank the Chicago Fire to a 1-0 defeat at the Red Bull Arena.

The 34-year-old expertly brought down a cross-field pass from Sebastien Le Toux before volleying home a left-footed shot from a tight angle in the 71st minute of the match played in sweltering New Jersey heat.

The Frenchman's 10th goal of the season - but his first since April 28 - helped nudge the Red Bulls in front of DC United and into second place in the Eastern Conference.

It was a sweet moment for the home crowd who saw their loss to the Chicago Fire earlier in the season avenged.
