The 27-year-old's performances have attracted the attention of several European clubs including Paris Saint-Germain, but the president is refusing to allow him to leave
Lazio president Claudio Lotito has dismissed speculation that Antonio Candreva will be leaving the club this summer.
The winger enjoyed an excellent season with the Serie A club, scoring 12 goals to help them to a ninth place finish, and he was one of Italy’s star performers in their win over England on Saturday as he sent in the cross for Mario Balotelli to head in the winning goal.
His consistent performances have led to interest from across Europe, with Paris Saint-Germain one notable name to be linked with his signature. However, Lotito insists the 27-year-old will not be leaving the Stadio Olimpico this season.
"Candreva is not for sale," he told Radio Due. "We have not spoken to anyone from PSG and we have not received any offers."
Next up for Candreva and the Italians is Costa Rica. The two teams will meet at the Arena Pernambuco, Recife on Friday afternoon.
