The Germany international sealed a club-record £40 million switch to the Emirates Stadium late on Monday evening, with the playmaker signing a £130k-a-week five-year deal in one of the biggest moves of the transfer window.
Shortly after the deal was confirmed, Wilshere Tweeted: "Signing of the summer! Easily! Fantastic player, plays the 'Arsenal way'. Welcome @MesutOzil1088 absolutely buzzing!"
Lukas Podolski also posted on the social network site after the Gunners officially confirmed the transfer of the former Werder Bremen playmaker: "Welcome Bro. London calling!;)))"
Centre-back Laurent Koscielny, meanwhile, believes that the Gunners have signed a player of "world-class" ability.
Speaking to reporters ahead of France's World Cup qualifier against Georgia, he said: "We talk about Mesut Ozil, we'll see, this is a world-class player, a technical player who can adapt to Arsenal."
