Hope for Odemwingie rises as Cardiff City indicate interest

The Nigerian is running out of time as he seeks an escape from West Brom before the new season resumes
Peter Odemwingie may yet get another crack at the English Premier League after he was discarded to train with West Brom reserves as the club and the player seek for ways to end their relationship.

Newly promoted EPL side Cardiff City have now renewed their interest in the 31-year-old.

The Nigerian has been in the transfer window since January when he tried to force a move to now relegated Queens Park Rangers on deadline transfer day.

After that debacle, his time at the Hawthorns was ostensibly up but he has not seen any suitor match the valuation of the Baggies. Last month, an £850,000 bid from Al Nasr of Dubai was rejected.

There have also been enquiries from Crystal Palace, Swansea and Fulham, but none of the clubs has met the valuation of the Nigerian, who still has one year left on his contract.
