Twente winger Chadli eyes Premier League move

The Belgium international is prepared to wait in order to secure a move to English football's top flight according to his agent, spurning the advances of Shakhtar Donetsk
Twente winger Nacer Chadli is eager to join the Premier League, according to his agent Daniel Evrard.

The 23-year-old scored 10 goals in 22 Eredivisie appearances for the Enschede-based outfit last season, and also struck six times in the Europa League.

The Belgian's form has attracted interest from clubs such as Ukrainian champions Shakhtar Donetsk, but Chadli is prepared to hold out for a move to the Premier League.

“It's hard to choose Ukraine this early in the transfer window, when everyone around him wants to see him play on a Saturday in the Premier League, a competition he wants to go to really bad,” Evrard told De Telegraaf.

“It's not easy for a player to take the right decision. Financially Shakhtar was very interesting and then it's hard to stay patient. But Chadli doesn't want to rush things.

“He wants to start the pre-season at his new club, but I’m not ruling out that he will start at FC Twente at the beginning of July. English clubs often buy players in the last stages of the window.”
