thumbnail Hello,

The right-back has long been a target for the Magpies, but has spoken of his dissatisfaction that his current club will not allow him to leave until a replacement is found

Newcastle transfer target Mathieu Debuchy has spoken of his frustration at being unable to leave his current club Lille until a suitable replacement has been signed.

The French right-back has been heavily tipped to make the switch to Tyneside and join a number of his fellow countrymen, including Hatem Ben Arfa and Yohan Cabaye.

But Lille have so far blocked his move while they search for a player to replace him, causing Debuchy to voice his unhappiness to the media.

"Lille wants to find my replacement before releasing me," he said. "Ten, fifteen players have been proposed and it is always wrong [for them].

"They [the directors] need to have a bit of good will. It disappoints me and annoys me."

Newcastle are looking to bolster their squad ahead of their 2012-13 Europa League campaign, with manager Alan Pardew having already signed Romain Amalfitano and Gael Bigirimana this summer.
