Considered one of the greatest talents to have emerged in German football in recent years, Weiser can play on either flank, in defence or in midfield.
He made his debut for Koln this February in the 1-0 home defeat by Borussia Monchengladbach, becoming the youngest ever player to turn out for the eventually-relegated side.
And with his side preparing for a season in 2. Bundesliga, Weiser is keen to leave for the Champions League ad DFB-Pokal runners-up.
“I would still like to move to Bayern. But everything depends on the football club [Koln],” the youngster revealed to Bild.
“I think that there will soon be another meeting with FC Koln.
“This kind of opportunity is not one to miss. I could be in Munich training with the professionals,” he concluded.
Former teammate Lukas Podolski, who left for Arsenal in April, also lauded the young player.
“He has the potential for a great career," the Germany international stated.
