Deco's UEFA Champions League Final Priceless Surprise

The former Barcelona midfielder turned up unannounced at a Lisbon primary school to offer one lucky youngster a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity
To celebrate MasterCard's 10 year anniversary of their Player Mascot scheme, former Barcelona and Portugal star Deco surprised a young fan with the opportunity to lead out the players in the UEFA Champions League Final between Real Madrid and Atletico Madrid.

The retired midfielder turned up at Parque das Nações Primary School to award Madalena Machado Castelo Rodrigues with her prize of the final mascot spot in European football's showpiece event, which will take place at Estadio da Luz in Lisbon this evening.

However, nine-year-old Madalena only found out about the opportunity after a bit of planned mischief from Deco, who also famously represented Porto and Chelsea during an illustrious 17-year career.

Deco was disguised as a school cleaner during an assembly at the school before choosing to reveal his true identity following an impromptu keepy-uppy session in front of Madalena's excited classmates.

Awarded the prize due to her impressive humanitarian work, Madalena broke down in tears of joy when Deco revealed she would be walking out with the stars of Real Madrid and Atletico Madrid in the most hotly anticipated Madrid derby in history.
