Brazil legend Pele has criticised Barcelona attacker Neymar for his tendency to go to the ground too easily, but feels the former Santos star has already improved since his move to Spain last summer.
The 22-year-old was heavily criticised by Atletico Madrid coach Diego Simeone in the aftermath of the first leg of their Champions League quarter-final tie earlier this week and Pele agrees that his compatriot still looks for the foul too often.
"I think Neymar looks to create fouls and situations that aren't there," Pele told ESPN.
"He also had the same problem at Santos.
"He has improved a lot in that aspect, though, because things are different in Europe. Football is a harder, more physical game in Europe. It's a great experience for him to grow as a player."
Pele then went on to stress that people should not expect too much from Neymar at the World Cup as the pressure could prove to be too much for the Barcelona forward.
"The World Cup is a tournament, it isn't just one game.
"Everybody expects him to win it for Brazil and that's very dangerous for him."
