Real Madrid legend Alfredo Di Stefano has slammed the Spanish media for their intrusions into the club, claiming that they behave like facist dictator Benito Mussolini.
Jose Mourinho has been constantly at odds with the press this season, with widespread reports claiming that his players, including skipper Iker Casillas and vice-captain Sergio Ramos, want to see the back of the Portuguese.
“They [the press] try to rule more than Mussolini,” the honorary Blancos president told Marca.
"Journalists are not supposed to give their allegiance towards or against Mourinho, and neither am I.”
Madrid sit third in La Liga - 16 points behind Barcelona and four behind city-rivals Atletico.
