The 26-year-old moved to the Spanish capital outfit seven years ago and has won numerous trophies since then, including three La Liga titles.
Now vice-captain at Real Madrid, the former Sevilla man believes that he is representing the "best club in the world" while he also admitted that becoming a professional footballer was not always his priority.
"When you're young, it is important to have dreams," he told AS.
"I always wanted to be either a bullfighter or footballer but my mother was a little scared of me becoming a bullfighter. So I opted for football which was less dangerous."
Ramos insisted that the players that have played for the club and the trophies they have won makes Madrid, in his eyes, superior to other sides.
"The identity the club has forged throughout the years makes it unique.
"It is the best club in the world even if it is not everyone's favourite. But, this is the reality. The great players who have been here and the titles they have won have given prestige to this club."
