Di Maria: Messi is a phenomenon
The Blancos winger has voiced his admiration for his compatriot following his fine performances this term, and described Jose Mourinho as the best coach he's ever had
Real Madrid attacker Angel Di Maria has taken the time to praise fellow Argentina international Lionel Messi and feels the Barcelona star is in a league of his own.The Ballon d'Or holder netted once on Tuesday to help the Albiceleste to a 2-1 World Cup qualification win over Chile, after previously netting a double versus Uruguay, and the winger has nothing but positive words for his compatriot.
"He's a phenomenon, what else can I say? It's a pleasure to play with him. He makes everything easier for his team-mates. He's always available to receive a pass and he can do marvels with the ball," Di Maria was quoted as saying by El Espectador.
Di Maria then went on to hail Jose Mourinho, stressing that the Madrid coach is the best trainer he's ever worked with.
"He's the best coach I've had in my career. He's highly professional, he supports you at all times and he teaches you. That's vital for a footballer."
Di Maria has made 11 official appearances for Madrid this term, netting twice in the process.
