The Spain international is full of ambition ahead of this week's Spanish Supercopa first leg, and feels Madrid deserved to beat Valencia at the weekend
Real Madrid goalkeeper Iker Casillas is eagerly anticipating the upcoming Spanish Supercopa match against Barcelona, and has stressed that the reigning Spanish champions are going for the win at Camp Nou on Thursday.Los Blancos were beaten 5-4 on aggregate in last year's competition, and Casillas is determined to come out victorious this time around.
"We will now turn our attention to the Spanish Supercopa. Like last year, we meet Barcelona once more," Casillas stated to reporters.
"It will be a beautiful, exciting match, in which two teams that play attacking football and try to create goals go head to head. We are going there with the idea of winning."
The shot-stopper then looked back at his side's 1-1 draw against Valencia at the weekend, and feels they deserved the full three points.
"We deserved much more because of all the chances we created. We got into the box a lot and had a lot of chances to score in the second half."
The first leg of the Supercopa takes place at Camp Nou on Thursday.
