The former Chelsea boss is sharing his knowledge with the PSV ranks and the club's coach is delighted with the opportunity to work with the 67-year-oldPSV coach Phillip Cocu says he is happy to take advice from club legend Guus Hiddink during their weekly meetings until the end of the season.
The former Barcelona midfielder took the reins at the Philips Stadion at the beginning of this season after a spell as assistant to predecessor Dick Advocaat.
Equipped with a very young team, the Eindhoven outfit sit seventh in the Eredivisie and Cocu is happy to learn from the former Anzhi Makhachkala boss.
"Guus is an icon at PSV. With all of his experience in the top, his arrival is very useful for PSV," he is quoted by the club's official website as saying.
"Over the last few months Guus and I already had regular phone contact. After his time in Russia, Guus had a short break. I’m glad that he is now ready to step up.
"Guus will be at [PSV training ground] De Herdgang until the end of the season on a regular basis to support the technical staff.
"At least once a week he’ll be at the training centre. But you will not see him on the bench during matches.
"You see right away that players went to him for advice. As a player I learned a lot myself from him. If someone like Guus is willing to help you out, it would not be smart if you don’t take advantage of that."
