The president of Nigeria Football Federation will be at the head of Nigeria’s delegation to the 2014 FIFA World Cup draw ceremony billed for Salvador of Friday
Alhaji Aminu Maigari will guide Nigeria’s delegation to the venue of the Fifa 2014 World Cup draw slated for the Costa do Sauipe Resort, Bahia on Friday.
The delegation which includes the chairman of the NFF Technical Committee Barrister Chris Green, Super Eagles’ coach Stephen Keshi, NFF’s Director of Marketing Adama Idris as well as NFF’s media officer Ademola Olajire will connect a South African Airways flight from Johannesburg to Sao Paulo on Wednesday morning before another trip to Salvador.
The draw ceremony is expected to last for 90 minutes – the duration of a football match with all 32 teams to be drawn into eight groups of four teams each, with the top two teams advancing to the Round of 16.
Brazil will head pot one alongside reigning champions Spain, Germany, Argentina, Uruguay, Switzerland, Colombia and Belgium .
Nigeria is placed in pot two together with the other African representatives with the inclusion of Chile and Ecuador.
Shortly after the draw, there will be individual meetings of the participating member associations at the same venue where agreements for friendly matches are expected to be concluded. There will also be inspection visits to team hotels.
